St Ives implements Epicor software
St Ives Group today announced that the first steps to implementing Epicor next-generation enterprise resource planning (ERP) suite across the group has begun. Service Graphics, St Ives large format print and display division went live at the beginning of the month. The Epicor solution will replace St Ives’ existing core financial solutions and will be rolled out across the group over the coming year.

St Ives plc – Directorate change
At the AGM in November 2010, the Chairman, Mr Miles Emley announced his intention to stand down as Chairman and a director of the Company by the end of the current financial year.
Following the recent approval at a General Meeting of the shareholders of the Class 1 transaction for the sale of the Company’s Magazine business, Mr Emley and the Company have agreed that he will stand down with effect from 25 April 2011.
Miles Emley has been a director of the Company since 1992 and Chairman since 1993. The directors would like to record their thanks and appreciation for the enormous contribution made by Mr Emley during that time and for having overseen the transition to a new management team.
As previously announced, Mr Richard Stillwell, an existing independent non-executive director of the Company, will take over as Chairman.

SP helps store chain increase sales
Countrywide Farmers is a chain of 47 stores serving the rural community with everything from farming and equestrian supplies through to country clothing and Christmas gifts. Service Graphics produce biodegradable graphics for EDF Sustainability project
Service Graphics, the large format print division of the St Ives Group, has created a biodegradable graphic display for EDF Energy's customer contact centre. Service Graphic's innovative concepts, environmentally sound product knowledge and technological capabilities saw them selected to produce and install a permanent interactive sustainability room at EDF Energy's Doxford Park site. The room is designed to generate awareness and debate on sustainability and carbon reduction amongst employees and visitors.

1 Million Books to be given away!
Clays, St Ives Book printing division is proud to announce support for one of the most ambitious publishing initiatives in recent times; World Book Night.
The inaugural World Book Night will take place on Saturday, 5 March 2011, two days after World Book Day.
With the full support of the Publishers Association, the Booksellers Association, the Independent Publishers Guild, the Reading Agency with libraries, World Book Day and the BBC, one million books will be given away by an army of passionate readers to members of the public across the UK and Ireland – and you could be one of them!
All you have to do is apply to be one of the 20,000 people who will receive 50 copies of one of their favourite books to recommend and donate to whoever you choose.
The publishing industry believes that by giving away this unprecedented amount of books free, we will encourage people to read more or indeed be the catalyst for some to take up reading for pleasure for the first time. The selection of titles is diverse; from classics such as the Prime of Miss Jean Brodie by Muriel Spark to more recent books such as Fingersmith by Sarah Waters. There are novels, thrillers, crime books, children’s books and non fiction on the list to be given away.

St Ives plc, the sole supplier of print management services to the Royal Mail Group, has provided the engine for the UK letter and package business to launch its new Direct Mail service, called “Mailshots Online” TM, to small and medium size businesses.
Delivered together with iRed Partnership Limited, the specialist customer engagement and document management organisation that is a subsidiary of The Royal Mail, the new service enables businesses to quickly, easily and successfully engage with their market.
The new Mailshots Online TM service allows businesses with little or no design experience to get personalised messages designed, proofed, printed and delivered to customers quickly. This service can be for very short runs or mass mailings.

St Ives reduce carbon emissions year on year
St Ives plc were successful in achieving the Carbon Trust Standard in March 2010.
This has been awarded in recognition of the group’s continued reduction in it’s CO2 emissions over the last three consecutive financial years. Certification is valid until 31st August 2011 and will assist the group in reducing the financial impact of the Carbon Reduction Commitment which came into force on 1st April 2010.
